Alocasia are known for their vigorous root systems, which thrive when they can grow in direct contact with water.
Hydroponics can be a cleaner growing method than traditional soil, reducing the risk of pests and diseases. 
As these Plants get larger some of them will need to be put into new vases or jars however because the plant has already been grown in water you will find there will be little to no shock from the transportation. 
We also do advise to purchace a hydroponic friendly liquid fertaliser to keep your plants looking there best.
